Note that withdrawing consent for marketing will not affect the delivery of transactional or service-related communications (e.g., withdrawal confirmations, security alerts).
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, we process your personal information on one or more of the following lawful grounds:
4.1. Contractual Necessity
Processing is necessary to enter into or perform the contract between you and JeetCity — specifically, to create and maintain your account, provide gaming services, and process financial transactions. Without this processing, we cannot provide the services described in our Terms & Conditions.
4.2. Legal Obligation
We are required to process certain categories of personal information in order to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including but not limited to:
- Identity verification under Applicable Customer Identification Procedures (ACIP);

4.3. Legitimate Interests
Where neither contractual necessity nor legal obligation applies, we may process personal information on the basis of our legitimate business interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your privacy rights. Such interests include:
- Detecting and preventing fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes;
- Ensuring the security and operational integrity of the Platform;
- Conducting analytics to improve our products and services;
- Managing and defending legal claims.
4.4. Consent
Where required by the Privacy Act 1988 or applicable guidance from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), we will seek your express consent before processing your personal information — particularly in relation to sensitive information and direct marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may, however, disclose your personal information to the following categories of recipients where necessary and lawful:
5.1. Service Providers & Data Processors

In accordance with our regulatory obligations, we cross-reference account registration details against the Australian Government's BetStop National Self-Exclusion Register. If your details appear on BetStop, we are legally required to deny you access to gambling services and to close or suspend your account.
5.4. Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or restructuring of our business, your personal information may be transferred to the relevant successor entity as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the receiving entity maintains privacy protections consistent with this Policy and applicable law, and we will notify you of any such transfer as required.
5.5. Affiliates & Marketing Partners
Where you have been referred to our Platform via an affiliate partner, we may share limited data (such as account registration confirmation and wagering activity indicators) with that affiliate solely for commission-calculation purposes, in accordance with our affiliate programme agreement and applicable privacy law.
6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
6.1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and gather information about your browsing behaviour. In addition to cookies, we may use web beacons, pixel tags, local storage objects, and session identifiers (collectively, "Tracking Technologies") for similar purposes.
6.2. Types of Cookies We Use
| Cookie Type | Purpose | Duration |

6.3. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
- Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings menu. Please refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
- Cookie Consent Tool: Where required by applicable law, we will present you with a cookie consent banner when you first visit our Platform, giving you the ability to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
- Opt-Out Links: Certain third-party analytics providers offer opt-out mechanisms (e.g., Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on).
Please Note: Disabling strictly necessary cookies may impair the functionality of the Platform, including your ability to log in, access your account, or complete financial transactions.
7. Data Security
7.1. Our Security Measures
We implement a comprehensive suite of technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocols. Sensitive data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 or equivalent standards.
- Access Controls: Access to personal information is strictly limited to authorised personnel who require it for legitimate operational purposes. Role-based access controls and multi-factor authentication are enforced for all internal systems.
- Firewalls & Intrusion Detection: We deploy perimeter firewalls, web application firewalls (WAF), and real-time intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Penetration Testing: We conduct regular vulnerability assessments and third-party penetration tests to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Incident Response: We maintain a documented data breach response procedure in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988.
- Staff Training: All personnel with access to personal data receive regular privacy and security training.
7.2. Notifiable Data Breaches
In the event of an eligible data breach as defined under the NDB scheme — being a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose data is involved — we will:
- Notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as soon as practicable;
- Notify all affected individuals whose information was involved and who are at risk of serious harm; and
- Provide clear guidance on the steps affected individuals should take to protect themselves.
7.3. Your Responsibility
While we take extensive precautions to protect your data, you also play an important role in keeping your account secure. We strongly recommend that you:
- Use a strong, unique password and change it regularly;
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) if available;
- Never share your login credentials with any third party;

9. Your Rights
As an individual whose personal information is held by JeetCity, you have a number of rights under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. We are committed to facilitating the exercise of these rights in a timely and transparent manner.
9.1. Right of Access (APP 12)
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. We will provide access within a reasonable timeframe (ordinarily 30 days), either by providing a copy of the information or by granting access in another agreed format. We may charge a reasonable fee to cover the administrative cost of providing access, but will not charge simply for the making of the request.
9.2. Right to Correction (APP 13)
If you believe that personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading, you have the right to request that we correct it. We will take reasonable steps to correct the information within 30 days of receiving your request and, where appropriate, will notify any third parties to whom the information was disclosed.
9.3. Right to Complain

9.6. How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of the above rights, please contact our Privacy Officer using the contact details set out in Section 13 of this Policy. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request to ensure we do not disclose information to an unauthorised party.
Important: Certain rights may be subject to limitations. For example, we may be unable to grant access to information that is subject to legal professional privilege, would reveal the personal information of another individual, or is subject to law enforcement or regulatory constraints.
10. International Data Transfers
10.1. Transfers Outside Australia
As an online gaming Platform, we may engage service providers, infrastructure partners, and technology vendors that operate from, or store data in, countries outside of Australia. This means that your personal information may be transferred to, and processed in, overseas jurisdictions.
10.2. Our Obligations Under APP 8
Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the APPs in relation to that information, as required by Australian Privacy Principle 8. These steps may include:
- Entering into binding contractual arrangements (data processing agreements) that impose APP-equivalent obligations on the overseas recipient;
- Assessing whether the destination country has a privacy framework that is at least substantially similar to the APPs;
- Implementing technical safeguards (such as encryption) to protect data in transit and at rest in overseas systems.
10.3. Countries of Transfer
Your personal information may be transferred to countries including, but not limited to, members of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and other jurisdictions in which our technology and service partners are based. Where transfers occur, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place as described above.
10.4. GDPR Considerations
If you are located in or are a citizen of the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). While our Platform is primarily directed at Australian users, we acknowledge the extraterritorial application of the GDPR and will honour GDPR-based rights requests from eligible individuals on a best-efforts basis. For more information, please contact our Privacy Officer.
11. Minors
11.1. Minimum Age Requirement
JeetCity's services are strictly intended for persons who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. In accordance with our obligations under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 and applicable responsible-gaming standards, we employ robust age-verification procedures at the point of account registration and during ongoing account monitoring.
11.2. BetStop Age Verification
As part of our compliance with the Applicable Customer Identification Procedures (ACIP) framework, we cross-check all registering users against the BetStop National Self-Exclusion Register, which also assists in identifying restricted users (including individuals who are under 18).
11.3. Discovery of Underage Account
If we discover or reasonably suspect that a registered user is under 18 years of age, we will:
- Immediately suspend and subsequently close the account;
- Refund any deposited funds that have not been forfeited under our Terms & Conditions in connection with a breach of the age requirement;
